Courteney Cox and David Arquette are trying to keep things as "normal" as possible for their six-year-old daughter during their separation, a source close to the couple tells PopEater.
On Saturday, Arquette joined Cox and their daughter, Coco, at the Old Navy + EBowl Event at the Pinz Bowling Center in Studio City, California, for the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, which Cox hosted. The non-profit is raising money for research and awareness for EB, a painful, debilitating genetic skin disorder that has no cure.

Cox and Arquette were "being good parents" by attending the event together, the source tells PopEater. "They're trying to keep things as normal as possible for Coco. They're doing things like this because they are co-parenting and want what's best for her. They're separated. As of this moment, they are not getting divorced. And they are still in love."Courteney and David pose at the Old Navy event on Saturday >>
Onlookers at the benefit -- the first public event they attended together since they announced their separation on October 11 -- told the New York Post that Cox and Arquette "clearly have a lot of affection for each other. David arrived first, and Courteney and their daughter Coco came about 15 minutes later. They all hugged hello and then Coco ran to go bowling. David and Courteney later came up to the gift shop and picked out clothes for Coco together. They actually seemed very affectionate, David was calling Courteney 'Boo.'"
Even so, the separation hasn't exactly been smooth sailing. On Nov. 11, London's Mirror reported that Arquette blames Cox's longtime pal and 'Friends' co-star Jennifer Aniston for their split.
On October 12, the day after Arquette and Cox announced their separation, Arquette called in to the 'Howard Stern Show' on Sirius Satellite Radio and divulged intimate details about his failing marriage and his hookup with waitress Jasmine Waltz after they separated in June. Arquette said that he and his wife of 11 years hadn't had sex for about a month before they started shooting Scream 4 and that Cox wanted the separation because she told him she was "tired of being your mother."
While Arquette later admitted that he revealed too many details about his relationship with Cox, he returned to Stern's show on Oct. 27, saying that he's slept with at least two women since his separation.
Despite this turmoil, the source tells PopEater that Cox and Arquette are doing everything they can to help Coco, who is having a hard time with their separation, Cox recently told Bang Showbiz. "She's the most important person in all of this. She's having a little bit of a hard time, but she's dealing with it very well.
"Luckily her day-to-day schedule isn't changing because we've always had two houses and we've always been back-and-forth. And we're making a point of spending a lot of time together, having family dinners and such."
