Single White Female' actress Jennifer Jason Leigh filed for divorce earlier this month from film director Noah Baumbach, PEOPLE reports. Leigh filed the papers on Nov. 15 in Los Angeles Superior Court and cited irreconcilable differences. The couple was married for five years.
The pair just welcomed a son, Rohmer, seven months ago. Leigh, 48, is requesting spousal assistance and primary custody of Rohmer with visitation rights for Baumbach.
The couple met in 2001 while Leigh was starring on Broadway in the play 'Proof.' At the premiere of his movie 'The Squid and the Whale,' soon after their wedding, Baumbach told PEOPLE. "I expect to be with [Leigh] for the rest of my life."
